Since 2006, the Deptartment of Physics and Nuclear Engineering (DFEN) of the UPC - BARCELONA TECH launches an Annual Call for Post-doc Positions.

The Call is open from April 15 to June 15, to receive applications by young researchers willing to join one of the DFEN-UPC research groups.

Candidates must have a PhD at the time they join the UPC (obtained in the last 3 years). The overall duration of the post-doc positions is 1 year. The gross salary is 21 000 euros, and includes a health insurance. The salary is provided by the DFEN-UPC research funds and partially by the research group hosting the candidate.

Interested candidates should submit the following items through a DFEN-UPC researcher, no later than June 15:

• CV with a detailed account of the candidate's research experience, publications, skills and competences.
• 1 page-long research project, with an outline of the activities to be performed at the UPC, if succesfull, emphasizing the connection and/or complementarity with the activities of the corresponding DFEN-UPC research group.
• 2 recommendation letters (optional)

The Selection Committee consists of senior researchers from all the different research groups of the DFEN-UPC. Decisions of the Selection Committee will be announced before June 30. The selected candidates will have to start their activities at the UPC between October and April.
