Final degree and master's theses win the main prizes in this year's edition of the Sant Jordi Awards 2025 call
The Jordi Porta i Jué Prize from the Catalan Society of Physics has been awarded to Francesc Sabater Garcia for the work The fermionic Tonks-Girardeau gas: formation of bosonic pairs and a new formulation of the wave function of the ground state, co-directed by Professor Grigori Astrakharchik from the Physics Department.
Prize from the Catalan Society of Physics for final degree theses awarded to Miriam Lorenzo Laguno for the work Study of the impact of torsion instability on heliospheric magnetic flux strings, co-directed by Professor Jordi José from the Physics Department. And one of the second prizes is awarded to Fernando Muñoz Puente for the work Computational modeling of the dynamics of tuberculosis lesions: from the animal model to the human, co-directed by professor Clara Prats from the Department of Physics.
